Mandate & Mission
EUFTAC was established under EU Regulation 2019/XXX as an independent advisory and oversight body responsible for monitoring the transparency, accountability, and integrity of the European Union's financial system. Our work bridges the gap between regulatory standards and real-world enforcement, ensuring that the systems governing financial flows across member states operate with the highest levels of scrutiny.
We operate with full independence from the institutions we oversee. Our decisions are grounded in evidence, data, and law β not political convenience. Our mandate covers banking supervision convergence, capital markets integrity, anti-money laundering coordination, consumer protection, and the emerging domain of digital and sustainable finance.
"Monitoring the systems that move the world's money β in the public interest, without fear or favour." β EUFTAC Founding Regulation, Recital 3
